“The need to research and document the Canadian response to the movement that gained international attention was critically important for SASI. We were present as history was being made and documenting it for posterity was vitally important for us in the here and now and for future generations”.

Director Statement
“Creating this documentary was a very personal and eye-opening journey for me. I have met passionate and dedicated activists across Canada who have deeply inspired me in my work. I have connected with first and second generation Canadians like myself who have affinity to the Farmers’ movement, despite living half a world away. I also had the opportunity to speak to and learn from documentarians and leaders across India who have recorded and shared the movement with the world from the streets of Delhi, India. I hope that this documentary will impact, educate and spread awareness about India’s Farmers’ Movement and the ongoing issues in the agriculture sector.”
